Love really is an amazing thing. I have to say, my job allows me to come across such incredible people and learn about so many different cultures!
Recently I shot the ceremony and celebration of two beautiful traditions blending into the perfect recipe for marriage; the day Kim married her husband Ravin!
Let me take you on a trip down memory lane, Kim is of Vietnamese background and Ravin is of Indian background. The day these two approached me to shoot their wedding, I knew that this was going to be something truly authentic and special!
An intimate occasion, the event included a traditional tea ceremony in Kim’s family home where the beautiful bride stunned in a bright pink traditional cultural dress.
The second part of the ceremony reflected Ravin’s Hindu roots. Kim wore a gorgeous red saree and Ravin wore a Indian style suit. Flowers were not in lack of supply, that’s for sure! The couple wore beautiful flower necklaces and there was a thali tying ceremony.
And the reception… wow! Matilda Bay never looked so glamorous… it was transformed perfectly for such an authentic occasion! The love was truly felt in the room, it was definitely a celebration of an amazing union!
